Why donate blood? Donating blood is a great way to give back to your community and it only takes about an hour of your time. There are a few requirements to donate blood: must be in good general health, at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and have a valid identification (CA ID or driver’s license or passport) *Blood donors may be 16 years old, but must have parental consent and weigh a minimum of 115 pounds.
