Patterson Aquatic Center Rules

  • No Running 
  • No eating and no drinking in the pool
  • No hanging on and no touching the ropes and lane lines
  • No flips off the wall (front flips may only be done off the diving board)     
  • No inappropriate language or behavior – This is a family environment
  • No smoking in and around the facility 
  • No glass containers in the facility
  • No alcoholic beverages in the facility
  • Outside food, candy, gum, and drinks are not permitted inside the facility
  • Parents or responsible guardians are required to supervise their children
  • PAC-issued swim diapers are the only diapers allowed in the pool. 
    - If you need a swim diaper, please see the office staff.
  • Be Safe. Be Responsible. Be Respectful.
  • The Patterson Aquatic Center and City of Patterson Recreation Staff reserve the right to excuse any party from the facility that is acting unsafe or disrespectfully.
  • Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult in the facility
  • Children under 5 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult in the water and with an arm’s reach at all times.
  • No Running
  • No Life Jackets in the Deep End
  • Only U.S. Coast Guard approved Life Jackets are allowed inside the facility 
        - No inflatables and no swimsuits with floaties.
  • No Horseplay:
        - No Dunking
        - No Pushing
        - No Hitting
        - No Biting
        - No Excessive splashing
        - No Throwing people
        - No climbing on one another’s shoulders or bodies
  • No gang colors and no gang signs in the facility
  • No feet hanging on the deck. 
  • All ages must pass the swim test every day
  • No long or repetitive breath-holding underwater.
  • Only swimwear is allowed in the pool.
